What might a facade look like if it incorporates elements beyond conventional design? Imagine it not only accommodating human inhabitants but also creating space for other species.
Envision achieving these goals using cutting-edge technologies and techniques. Through the utilization of AI tools and countless iterations, we’ve refined a few detailed images and conceptualized a configuration that embodies our vision for the final facade.
AI as a Designing Tool
Design no longer starts with a sketch, it starts with a prompt.
Numerous alternatives were explored in the pursuit of the final model, with each considering various factors. These included de-objectifying the elements, enhancing verticality, ensuring connectivity, maintaining design consistency and uniformity, addressing human scale, spatial considerations, and incorporating inhabitable areas on the facade.
The glue-free assembly of the 3D Printed Final Model, with tailored designs for each component, can inspire innovative real-scale facades. This practice validates the notion that what’s achievable in 3D prints can translate to actual facade construction, prompting the design of both elements and assemblytechniques.
